Summary:As the Risk Manager, you will be tasked with spearheading the development and implementation of comprehensive safety and risk management programs from the ground up for Cosm, including our newly established immersive venues. Responsibilities:Manage reviews, from conception to scheduling and define process of Cosm’s operations that include identifying potential risks, hazards and key preventative measures. Evaluate & adopt health and safety best practices, legal liability requirements, and industry standards applicable to our business.Develop and implement protocols for cleaning, safety checks, and emergency preparedness.Establish procedures for first aid training, supply management, and crisis management.Define communication and documentation procedures for incidents involving employees or customers.Identify potential risk exposures, recommend solutions, implement approved programs, promote loss prevention, update and monitor compliance with insurance procedures, and manage safety and risk management manuals.Coordinate with legal, operations, human resources, and leadership teams to address incidents effectively.Develop a process for escalating high-risk situations and recurring preventable incidents.Collaborate with talent success to ensure comprehensive training materials are provided to all employees.Organize ongoing training sessions and workshops to establish a culture of safety and compliance.Establish an audit process to monitor teams' adherence to training requirements and safety protocols.Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Collaborate with insurance brokers and internal stakeholders to assess insurance needs based on the scope of operations, potential risks, and regulatory requirements.Ensure that insurance policies are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect changes in operations, regulations, or risk profiles.Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance-related inquiries and claims, liaising between the company and insurance providers to expedite resolution.Provide guidance and support to teams regarding insurance-related matters, including claims reporting and risk mitigation strategies.Experience:7 years of experience in risk management, preferably in the live entertainment and or hospitality industry.Bachelor's degree in risk management, occupational health and safety, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification preferred.NASP Certified Safety Manager and Workplace Violence Prevention Certified is a plusStrong understanding of health and safety regulations, legal requirements, and industry standards.Self-starter and driven individual that thrives establishing a function from scratch. The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $115,000 - $155,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
